Our association was founded in 2014 by members a\ufb00ected by thalassemia. Thalassemia (Greek for Mediterranean anemia) is a rare disease that leads to defective blood formation.<\/p>

There are many di\ufb00erent rare diseases (over 8000), but we all have one thing in common: we have to cope with lifelong problems that are otien not talked about. Problems that also a\ufb00ect our mental health.<\/p>

Depression. Loneliness. Suboptimal communication with doctors. Problems during puberty. Lack of understanding. Problems at work. Fears. No contact person. Intolerance. Poor compliance. Lack of prospects. A rare disease can lead to all of this, but it doesn’t have to.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In unterschiedlichen Bereichen (z.B. Medizin, Psychologie, Kinder, Familie, Beruf) bieten wir Erfahrung und Wissen an. Dies sichern wir durch unsere Authentizit\u00e4t. Der Vorstand der DEGETHA & FRIENDS besteht\u00a0immer<\/strong>\u00a0zu mindestens 50% aus Selbstbetroffenen Mitgliedern. Unser Team setzt sich aus unterschiedlich qualifizierten Experten, da sie ebenfalls Selbstbetroffene sind und\u00a0wissen<\/strong>\u00a0(nicht vermuten) wie es ist mit einer Seltenen Erkrankung (SE) zu leben.<\/p>
